Where to find the best weather during the summer

When you go on a summer vacation, you want the weather to be on your side. Depending on where you live, things can be a bit hit and miss with the temperature, and that’s the last thing you want at this time of year. Summer was made for warm days spent lounging in the sun, and that’s exactly what these destinations have on offer. If you need somewhere beautiful to escape to for your vacation this year, give these places a try.

We could rave about Spain all day. With perpetually hot weather that regularly hits highs of 95-100 degrees Fahrenheit, this exotic European destination has plenty of gorgeous beaches for you to spend your vacation on. Costa Brava, Gran Canaria and Majorca are all fantastic to visit in the summer months if you’re looking for a coastal break, though everywhere in the country has its perks. Plus, the Spanish people, in general, are all incredibly relaxed, so you’ll always have the perfect atmosphere for a vacation in the sun.

Although summer for us is winter in Australia, that doesn’t mean the island isn’t worth a visit at this time of year. The gold coast actually has some of the best weather around in July and August. The temperatures average 60 degrees Fahrenheit which will keep you warm without giving you heat exhaustion. Even though its winter there, the sun never really leaves Australia, so you don’t have to worry too much about being caught in the rain. What’s more, the country’s busy season isn’t until later on in the year, so you can beat the crowds on your vacation too.

Finland may be known for its cold weather, but during the summer, it can heat up quite a bit. Throughout the summer, the country reaches highs of 70 degrees Fahrenheit, so you won’t be catching a chill during your break. The country is usually quiet during the summer, especially in places like Helsinki, because many people are going on vacation too. However, there’s still plenty to do around the city. Helsinki is renowned for its design scene, as well as its array of innovative cuisine, so a visit to the Finnish capital will give you plenty to do for a week or fortnight away.

Tuscany offers some of the hottest temperatures in Europe throughout the summer months. They can reach as high as 90 degrees Fahrenheit, which is great for doing some wine tasting in one of their many vineyards. Nights in Tuscany are particularly exciting because they offer the most incredible stargazing opportunities. Clear skies are a regular thing in the country, so you’ll never have any problems looking up at the stars on a warm Tuscan night.

Croatia has become a bit of a hotspot for summer vacations in recent years. The weather around this time of the year is always generous, with temperatures averaging around the high 70s/low 80s. With its long coastal stretch on the east of the country, Croatia is excellent for sunning yourself on the beach. However, there’s more to this European destination than just spending your time on the shores. With many cultural landmarks to explore in the country, as well as some of the surrounding islands, you can mix education with pleasure. Plus, in the evenings you can spend your time cooling off in Croatia’s trendiest bars.

Found your ideal summer vacation spot? Although you might have the odd day where the weather isn’t on your side, you shouldn’t run into too many troubles going for an extended break in these amazing countries.
